Mayday celebration  2026 at La Croix

 Sat 2nd May 10-5

La Croix Regeneration Centre, JE3 7FQ

Celebration of the start of Summer on our organic-certified regenerative farm.  Reclaiming one of our ancient land-based festivals, Beltane, also known as May Day, this festival is all about fertility, growth, and renewal. In 2026, this special day is made even more powerful as it aligns with the Full Flower Moon.

We would particularly like to share this part of unseen Jersey with our international communities.  Come and enjoy the abundance of blossoms in May, and make the most of this chance to access a real Jersey farm where we’re working with nature to restore and regenerate ecosystems and the soil to grow the healthiest, most nutrient-dense food possible.

Check-in from 10:00am.  Please arrive between 10:00 – 11:30am if you’d like to make flower crowns.

Draft program (subject to finalising):

10:00am      Greeted by our Jersey cows, decorated with flower garlands, make a flower crown to wear for the day
.                     Have your May Day photo taken by our professional photographer in our field studio

11:00am      Official opening of the festival with Celebrate your Heartbeat Jersey community drum ‘Dreamweaver

11:30am      Wild foraging walk

12 noon      Crowning of the May King and Queen (best flower crowns created and worn)

12:30pm     Pot luck for shared open air lunch picnic.  Bring a traditional dish from your country of origin to share.

2:00pm      Dancing around the May Pole

2:30pm     Yoga on the meadow – please bring your own yoga mat, beach mat or a towel

3:45pm    Sound bath on the meadow – please bring your own yoga mat, beach mat or a towel

4:30pm    Closing ceremony with Celebrate your Heartbeat Jersey community drum ‘Dreamweaver’

In addition there will be opportunities throughout the day to meet our heritage and rare-breed poultry and our calf, Gabriel.  Born 11:11:2025, Gabriel is our 001, the first Jersey calf to be born on the farm in over 50 years.  We operate a calf-at-foot or calf-sharing system which means Gabriel stays with his mom, Razzle, and we share her milk with him.
