bespoke Drums

Small drums - 10 inches

Large goat drum 18"

A Big Brother to the drum above this amazing drum is lighter than expected as it has finer lacing.

It’s a whopping 18 inch hoop and the hide is goat.. Very furry so good for quiet times and indoor drumming. Lovely deep vibrating notes.

Comes with padded beater AND bodhran beater. The wooden ended bodhran stick will give a louder tone.

Large oval horse drum 1/23 SOLD

This is a truly stunning 18 by 14 inch horse drum. The horse hide has come from my supplier in Scotland – a seven generation family business working with farmers and designer’s. They make bespoke leather for designer goods and supply Scottish horsehide to me on a regular basis.  It has a stunning dark hoop which I was keeping to go with a particularly nice hide so all in all it is a fabulous drum as hide and hoop match well.

This bespoke drum has red lacing and this red signifies honouring women.  The fine sinew takes hours to weave in ceremony.

This is only the second in this design, It follows a design that came to me in ceremony as I  birthed a drum to gift to our Elder in Kamloops Canada to honour the missing First Nations children found buried there.

It has a fabulous tune and keeps its tone well. It will be a very strong drum for Mona who now carries it.

It came with a fleece pocket and beater.

The Oval hoop is rather special because the shape of the drum means that there is a different sound from either end as well as in the middle.

Large oval goat drum 2/23

This is a lovely light coloured goat drum.

Fully wrapped with goat hide, it has an incredible tone. This is a time consuming drum as I cut all my lacing myself in ceremony.

The Oval hoop is rather special because the shape of the drum means that there is a different sound from either end as well as in the middle.

The lightweight nature of the drum means that it can be played for longer if holding a drum for a long time might be difficult.

SOLD Large oval horse drum 3/23

This is a strong 18 by 14 inch horse drum. It is fully laced and has rose quartz in the centre.

It has one of two dark hoops I was able to source and so the hoop and hide match beautifully. An oval hoop is rather special because the shape of the drum means that there is a different sound from either end as well as in the middle.

The horse has come from my supplier in Scotland who are a seven generation family business working with farmers and designer’s. They make bespoke leather and supply Scottish horsehide to me on a regular basis.

Our Core Values

I’d like to teach the world to sing and furnish it with drums!

I have given many honouring drums and birthday drums and drums to work through grief. Sadly, I can’t afford to give everybody a drum so I try to keep my prices as fair as possible.
