Personal, couples and group work the medicine way...

A glimpse of our work. Please use email form below for details.

Retreats

We run retreats as well as day workshops and these are very popular and participants give amazing feedback. These are led by Lorna and her wonderful associates. We also have associate members in Jersey, Frome, Glasgow, Shrewsbury/Wales as well as our core teams here in Devon and Cornwall..

Women's work

We are hugely experienced in women’s work and one favourite strand of this work is to connect with the energy of Grandmother Moon.

Many team members have experience in mainstream services but love the depth and holistic nature of our work together much of which is pro bono.

Look out for our Moon and other workshops!

Personal therapy and couples work

With four decades of work since qualification, Lorna has undertaken a vast array of  Therapeutic Work and Psychotherapy in her role as a Psychiatric Social Worker and Counsellor. This has been with the most complex issues in Acute Mental Health.

Now that she has stepped away from this acute NHS  work, she will be offering mainstream therapeutic work with the option of working from a holistic and Spiritual  perspective. Please email below for more details.

Bereavement and loss work

We offer a very gentle approach to ceremonies and have held ceremony for handfasting, life transitions and funeral and scattering ashes ceremonies.

Lorna is scattering her beloved parents remains out to the Corryvreckan whirlpool at her Fathers request.

 Group therapy

Deep work is offered in a holistic setting with groups at all levels.. Lorna started running groups in 5th year at school in 1976 for younger girls and led groups at Uni. As a professional in Mental Heath she has run groups of many kinds and with many client groups. Her women’s NHS groupwork was nationally recognised as an exemplar by the Dept of Health Womens  lead.

Now Lorna adds the holistic approach and Spiritual Medicine to her groupwork.

Supported by  associates, the work at depth is rounded by  creativity. Team members do like having fun… and humour can be so therapeutic.. and get under the radar for that deeper work. .

Bring a heartbeat to your group

Dementia Groupwork with a difference

The drums love to be with the Elders in our communities. Please invite us to your community!

Amazing Elder Gerda loved her drum till the day she passed on. Living with Dementia, she used music to Celebrate her Heartbeat. Her daughter Daisy is now using this drum and continues to raise awareness of music helping people Living with Dementia.   https://www.facebook.com/DaysEyeArt?__tn__=-UC*F

Empathic Dementia staff training and team building

As well as personal development groups we run training groups on many topics- but of course the one that's most fun is about drumming for inclusivity with all client groups! This is us at a national Dementia conference with the Journal of Dementia Care. We also presented on inspirational supervision.

We support projects that honour the earth.

We love to support Earth projects. We have the honour of working with Pocketfullofacorns  “filmmaker for the Earth” aka Charley here. Charley is making a memorial drum on a solstice  event at the amazing Ashgrove Farm.

Facilitating peace groups and standing for injustice in our world

Drumming for peace in Jersey as part of our retreat there

We support our friends in Turtle Island (North America)

We regularly go down to the Mayflower steps to drum for our friends in North America and raise awareness of colonisation and the part that our city of Plymouth played.

In joint work with fellow Pipe Carrier and Elder Carole we are Gevelles. Find us at Kernow Healing Fields and other venues.
